Positive thinking
Have a positive focus and outlook for each day. Recognise the good things in your life and put your energy into those. If you expect a stressful day, it may well happen. What can YOU do to make your day better?
Drink more water
Your won't feel your best if you are dehydrated. Once you are thirsty your body is already dry and you may start to feel tired and sluggish. Aim to drink 2 litres of water every day.
Get some Exercise
Just a short walk or a little regular exercise is great for you, it doesn't have to be a session at the gym or a run. Take a walk at lunchtime, get some oxygen into your body, clear your head and feel refreshed. Take a look at the Straighten Up NZ info at our centre or on this website for some ideas.
Treat yourself
Take a little time to indulge yourself. You could read a book, listen to music, go to the movies or attend a class. When was the last time you had a facial, massage, went to yoga?
Sleep and relaxation
Getting plenty of sleep and relaxation are vital when we lead such busy lives.
Recognise when you need to rest, make time for yourself, have that relaxing bath.
