- Immigrated to NZ from the Netherlands at the age of six years
- Raised on the Tasman/Māpua area
- One year OE in 1993; three months travelling Great Britain, then rest of the time in continental Europe. Great to connect to family again and see the old country.
- Completed a degree in Chemistry in 1994 from Victoria University
- Moved to Auckland and joined the inaugural class of NZ College of Chiropractic and completed this qualification in 1998
- Practiced in Napier from 1999 to 2002
- Moved to Richmond and started Tasman Bay Chiropractic Centre on the 18th September 2002
- Three children – Sebastiaan, Angelina and Histen
- I enjoy being part of an individual’s health care and encouraging them to thrive
- I am passionate about my profession, and how it helps people, so served on the NZ Chiropractors’ Association Council from 2005-2017, and am the immediate past president. Currently one of two Pacific Region representatives on the World Federation of Chiropractic council. Director at Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia.
