‘Love your Spine’ this World Spine Day!
We are excited to be hosting a celebration in honour of World Spine Day (WSD). This free event is open to everyone and we are are looking forward to being joined by a range people of all ages.
WSD18 is an initiative of the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health and is organised by the World Federation of Chiropractic.
Spinal disorders can affect all age groups, from children to the elderly. Back Pain is recognised as the single biggest cause of disability on the planet affecting an estimated 1 billion people. World Spine Day 2018 is on the 16th of October, and the team at TBC is encouraging all Richmond locals to #LoveYourSpine.
World Spine Day 2018 focuses on simple steps to help prevent spinal problems. Even people in under-serviced parts of the country, who cannot normally access conventional healthcare resources can benefit from taking preventative actions.
So the TBC team is encouraging everyone to focus on strategies like participating in regular physical activity, encouraging good posture in friends and family, lifting safely, and reducing stress and inflammation. To help raise awareness of World Spine Day 2018 and the #LoveYourSpine initiative we are co-ordinating a free and fun event at Tasman Bay Chiropractic at 64 Oxford Street in Richmond at 12.30pm.
This year’s Richmond event to celebrate our spines will feature some short, easy spinal health exercises and you are invited to join us. See you on October 16th.
